Synapse Women’s Ministry seeks to connect women to God and each other. We seek to do that through an annual day of prayer called A Day in His Presence, a tea called Tea With a Mission that introduces our ladies to one of our community missions, and retreats, held both off campus and at our church. We provide Bible studies and Discipleship opportunities for all ages of women. We also team up with our Spanish Women’s Ministry with most of these events.
The term “Synapse” means “connection”. Our women’s ministry at First Baptist Church Hesperia seeks to help women connect to God and to each other. We host A Day in His Presence, Tea With a Mission, and a women’s retreat bi-annually. We provide both daytime and evening discipleship studies. We support community organizations, such as The Rose of Sharon. All events are specifically designed to enhance a woman’s relationship with God, extend her friendships, and move her to action within our community. We welcome women of all ages.
Hospitality
The Women’s Ministry Leadership team’s goal is to help make women feel welcome in our fellowship. We work hard to get new members plugged into our church community and find what God has in store for their lives.
Discipleship
We value spiritual growth and provide several opportunities for Bible study. We also provide strong biblical studies at various times during the week for deeper growth. We provide mentoring for those women who desire it.
Missions
Being obedient to God’s command to spread the gospel, our ministry highlights various types of missions in a yearly Mission Tea, bringing women into greater awareness of God’s global ministry. We encourage women to join our church’s mission team on their yearly trips to Peru. We financially support a pregnancy crisis ministry in our city and are the host church for MOPS, the International Mothers of Preschoolers organization.
Retreats
Taking time away from a busy lifestyle adds value to our demanding lives. The leadership team provides women’s retreats and marriages retreats as opportunities for spiritual renewal.
Leadership Training
God has called us to equip ourselves and the saints, therefore, we must be constantly learning. As the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team, we know we must be actively training the next generation of women to assume their God-given role in the church as well. Our goals for the ministry are ever changing as our church grows and as our needs grow.
